And your getting this information...where?

The game had only just begun beta testing phases a couple weeks ago, and no release date has been set. If so, you would assume it would be on the front page of the World of Warcraft website, no?

Its not a patch. its an expansion pack which will have a pacth released alongside it to accomodate the changes. the game is not free and you will have to purchase the expansion pack and download it to use any WotLK features. The patch is merely to update the version numbering, make small (regular) game changes, make changes to Azeroth based on the lore updates via WotLK, and stuff like that.

So, IF you are correct in saying the 3.0 patch is coming out, that DOESNT mean WotLK is. What i assume the next few patches will include are the lore changes that will slowly happen (there are rumours, for example, that Darnassus will be invaded by the Lich King). So, what is most likely to be included in these patches is they will bury the new Azeroth lore changes dormant within the system, and then slowly activate them based on lore and the timeframe until the release of Lich King.

I highly doubt you got your information from any reputable source. They will draw out the release of WotLK as long as possible to get fans excited, and i personally can't wait for all the major world events that will occur in the lead up to it!

The EXPECTED (this means it is not announced officially but is based on interviews with Blizzard and assumptions of the company) date is sometime in November. But remember, The Burning Crusade expansion pack came out over a year after its expected release date.

the information i have is from the wow site
http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread...5192&sid=1

ok, i was wrong. Sorry Smile

This is actually quite dissappointing. i expected blizzard to release a lot of world events that happen without notice, keep people on their toes. But no...hmmm. This makes me a SAAAAAD panda.

But still, my point stands. there is no release date set for WotLK
well since they have announced the live patch i would say about 3-4months till the release for the actual game and bout 2months for the patch
awsome, going to enjoy a-few of the updates.
the only bad thing would be re-thinking the SL/SL tree with the new talents coming out, and i just re-specced too Sad.
