hey guys, just wondering if you guys have noticed the abundance of australian advertising now online in games, recently while playing mercs2 and Vegas2 i have seen the same TAC add, black with the words 'drink drivers you are the target'
Ive heard of it before but never actually seen/noticed the ads, any thoughts on this?
this first started in NFS underground with static advertising (Burger King and Pepsi)
EA then evolved this into dynamic advertising which would have location orientated ads in BF2142 and since then its spread
I know for a while, back at the end of next year there was law change about advertisments covering advertising in game. This effected 2142's dynamic ads until it was clarified that they could. It opened the floodgates for alot of EA's major online titles.
Well vegas 2 is made by ubisoft, have they started it too, or maybe it has been made an exception because its from the TAC, there not advertising anything just delivering a message, oh and matt i really lol for the first time in a very long time seing that barrel roll pic
