Project Aus 5.0 - The Aussie Revolution

my PC has just f'd up majorly.
basically it trys to boot and gets to a point witch says " windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt : WINDOWS/SYSTEM32/CONFIG/SYSTEM " "try booting computer from the original setup cd and press "r" at the first screen to repair this problem"

i have tried this and it told me this. "you do not currently have any hard-drives currently installed". this is really weird because i know that they are there and working, the BIOS still detects them. i have even tryed reformatting, but with the same result.
my thoughts on this are that a) the HDD is fucked, or
b) the cables are fucked (not sure what they're called)
any help fixing it would be great.

either way im not fucking happy, my parents just said "oh dear" in the most sarcastic way possible and "you'll have to find a new hobby", meaning they don't care the slightest and will not even lift a finger to help me in my crisis.

due to these problems i will be afk from all games until my PC is fixed, cept i may be able to play WoW if my parents allow me to transfer it onto this shitbox that i am forced to use right now, but i doubt it.

-update- if all goes to plan my pc should be fixed on friday.
sadly though, my sister complained about the internet going slow due to me and my brother going over the cap again (its 3gigs of coarse we are going to go over). and because of this my dad put the modem in a box and locked it. this means that even with my pc fixed i will be away until i either convince my parents to give back the modem, or i get a job and pay for my own internet (which i have been trying to do for months).

will still be posting on the forums as much as possible from school.

WTF only 3gig??? mines 60 gig ROFL

i blame my parents, they're both computer illiterates XD
they just don't understand that 3gigs isn't enough

main computer has a massive virus now, mines still not fixed.
no internet access is available due to this unfortunate event and so i will not be able to play any games (except offline) or post until my computer is repaired. and judging by my lack of funds this will not be for several months.

Seriously though, you have my sympathy. That happened to me once. Nasty.
