So, this game absolutely rocks. If you havent tried it yet, both the xbox and pc have betas/psuedo-demos available for multiplayer. Its basically COD4 with COD2 skins (upgraded graphics aside, which might I say are VERY nice). A very length list of achievements (albeit a bit too easy) and a nice ranking system (once again, a bit easy), the gameplay is nice and versatile. Its pretty much just Cod4 so those who have played it will know.

The weapons seem a little light on the recoil but rumours are that rankings, achievements and gameplay will be made harder for the release (with the beta intended to intice people to purchase the game). Only one annoying bug at the moment, which would have already been fixed ages ago (but no point updating a beta demo with 2 weeks til release).

So, the question is, whose going to buy this game? I've been waiting a long time for a game that matches the quality of Battlefield 2 to come out, and I think it may be it (note: I did say this about Frontlines, but that was before they cancelled the stats/award system)
i will man its looks awesome
Yeah mate this is a really good game. It has recieved alot of shit on forums about it being a "costume change" but i know that the pace is a little slower (not to slow though)then COD4 and i like that. The server lists still need to be fixed like COD4 needed to be on release and there is still some issues with "Second Chance" but other than that its pakka.

Also - i personally don't think the ranks are too easy - there 650 ranks in the final game if you unlock prestige mode.
I've got the beta, played it for about 10 minutes got bored and just went to back to cod4 XD 2009 CoD6 dont let me down..
Umm.. wow. That is a bit sad, only giving the game 10 minutes to base a whole decision of a purchase on. Also just on a note - The game coming out in 2009 is not COD6 but COD5 as World at War is not "Call of Duty 5: World at War". Think of it more like 2142. As i said before i like it for the reason that it has a slower pace then COD4.

Also i would not pin your hopes on "COD 5" (COD 6 as you would say) either because if you don't like anything that is not modern you might be in for a little shock.

And i beleive that my post was on topic was it not? I beleive that i was talking about W@W? Also i was only expressing my own opinon on the matter that the game he is playing is in Beta phase at this point in time and Beta's are not meant to be used to base a purchuse decision off but to help the developer prepare the game for release by sorting out any bugs and balance issues with their product.

I agree that everyone deserves their own opinon and i am sorry if you see this as an "attack" and that was not my intention.
TBH, this release isnt much of a beta. Its released within weeks of the full version release (meaning the game would already be in the production and shipping stages) and the main beta already occured privately. There is only 1 bug in the game that is quite prevalent (server mass kick for G_Spawn entities) and i consider this (at least on the PC release) to be more of a demo than a beta.
I beleive that "kick for G_Spawn entities" is just a message meaning "server crash" for some reason. I have seen a few other things such as the second chance perk lasting for way too long - one time i was in second chance for 3 minutes and 24 seconds. Also the server list is buggered and does not show all servers that are available and the friend system does need some more tuning. But you are right in the way that while this won't effect the retail version of the game - all the information gathered through this is set for a week one patch.

The Cod server list has always been bugged. Even going back to COD2 i was having the same problems.

Maybe its because i loved Cod2, but i think the slow down in comparison to Cod4 is great, and actually allows for a little more tactical play to come in. The dogs are a great little toy and really add a whole new aspect to the game.

Also, they need to address dolphin diving. The player physics work very similar to BF2 and it needs to be looked at shortly into release if they want the game to sustain playability amongst the more casual gamers.
