I thought I'd just pen a few quick words on what you should expect when you enlist into ProjectAus.
First and foremost: We do not bite
Many people, believe that to be in our clan there is a pre-requisite for 'Leet' gaming skills. This could be nothing further from the truth.
Speaking from my own personal experience; after a four year legal battle with Telstra, I finally managed to get broadband on February 15 this year.
Prior to this, my online gaming skills where limited to what could be played on a dialup speed of 32,600kbps, or when I went to LAN nights at a mate's house who had a broadband connection.
Essentially, when I joined and started participating in games and training, I was embarrassed at the number of times I was killed.
Then my division commander decided to place me in his scrim team: To say that I filled my underwear on that first scrim match is an understatement - a total Noob in an official GameArena ladder match!.
The point I'm making here is this; no matter how bad a 'noob' player you think you are, do not be daunted, by the skills of the people around you, they all started in the same way you are.
Everyone here wants to help you, they encourage you, advise you on gameplay techniques, and NEVER EVER put you down.
In a short period of time, my gaming skills and techniques have refined to something I would never have imagined could happen so quickly. Sure there's still room for improvement, but I've never met anyone in this clan who doesn't feel the same - We all strive for excellence.
So once you have enlisted, remember, participation is the key: Join in Vent and talk to everyone you can as often as you can. Join in our game servers, or arrange a game between fellow members, (I prefer to call them family), and please don't be shy in posting in our forums; they are there for everyone, yourselves included.
See you on the battlefield.
